Uniquely designed and handmade.
These are a few of my favorite accomplishments. For a couple of these, I used parts of patterns to gauge sizing but for the most part, they are my own designs. I am all about practicality which shows in my reversible, corset backed sundresses and layered wedding gowns. Not one is exactly like another but all contain blood, sweat, and tears.
This is the first sundress I ever made. I’ve been wearing this one all summer long for about 10 years.
This dress is suuuuper comfortable. The fabric is a spandex cotton blend and the empire waist is gathered with elastic. I once wore this dress in an airport for 9 hours before my flight was finally cancelled. Never once wished I was in sweatpants.
I didn’t have much of a plan when I started this dress other than I wanted it to be reversible with a corset back. The back straps can be tucked in so that the front straps tie as a halter as well.
I found this fabric on sale a couple days before St. Patrick’s day and couldn’t resist the sparkles. No, I did not end up wearing it to the Irish bar because I didn’t want beer spilled on it. My friends were displeased with this decision.
This dress is very meaningful to me. My great grandfather brought this silk back from a trip to Thailand. My Mimi gave it to me and asked that I make something beautiful with it. I wore it to a wedding a couple summers ago.
This gown is my masterpiece. It is a short cocktail style dress with a long full skirt over it. The dress connects on the sides with corset ties and has a few panels more than a circle skirt. The long skirt has a chiffon train and the waist band also connects with a corset tie. I feel like a princess in it. In some of these pictures I’m wearing my mother’s veil which makes it even more special to me.
